Contract Marketing Director
About the Role
Denamico is a HubSpot consultancy that operates at the upmarket end of the ecosystem: enterprise-scale CRM architectures, complex integrations, and multi-phase implementations for franchise businesses with 50+ locations.
We're hiring a part-time, contract Marketing Director to cover a maternity leave that starts in May. We're looking for an experienced marketer to step in and keep things running. The goal isn’t just to maintain, but do it well and enhance our existing strategy where you can.
You'll work closely with an executive assistant and take ownership of key marketing work streams for the duration of the contract. You'll be handed a solid plan, a pre-scheduled content calendar, clear documentation and supporting AI (HubSpot Agents, Claude projects and Cowork skills) to speed up execution. What we need from you is someone who can hit the ground running, exercise good judgment, improve what’s already planned and work with a high degree of independence.
This is a great fit if you're an experienced marketer who enjoys variety, works well without oversight, and loves finding smarter ways to get things done.
What You’ll Own
- Day-to-day oversight of an executive assistant
- Webinar and in-person event planning, set up and promotion
- Client success story production
- Social media engagement, resharing, and additional posts beyond the pre-scheduled calendar
- Website content updates, including new articles, updated offers and AEO updates
- Supporting outbound campaign execution in HubSpot
- Ad hoc campaign and project support as it arises within your hours
What You Don't Need to Do
- Build strategy from scratch. The direction is set and documented.
- Manage our podcast. Our team handles that independently, but may need occasional support.
- Attend a heavy meeting schedule. This role is execution-focused.
How You Work
- You don't need hand-holding.
- You can execute an existing plan and bring forward ideas to improve it.
- You're curious about AI and you're already using it to work smarter.
- You treat an existing marketing program with the same care you'd give your own.
Experience You Bring
Required
- 5+ years of marketing experience, ideally in an agency or lean team environment.
- Hands-on HubSpot experience. You know your way around campaigns, sequences, and reporting.
- AI-forward mindset. You're actively using and experimenting with AI tools in your work, not just aware of them. (Today, our main AI tools are Claude, Gemini, and HubSpot AI.)
- Enjoy working independently with minimal day-to-day oversight.
- Ability to bring ideas to life. You can take a rough idea and turn it into an actionable plan for a new campaign, event, or webinar with limited direction.
- Content writing background (articles, emails, social, newsletters, case studies)
Nice to have
- Experience in B2B services or franchising.
- Outbound or ABM experience.
- Familiarity with ClickUp or similar project management tools.

Hours and Location
Part-time | 20 hours per week | 20 weeks
Start date: April 15
Preference given to candidates based in the Twin Cities who can come to our North Loop office for onboarding and once per week throughout the contract.
