JOB POSTING

Senior HubSpot Technical Consultant

Before You Apply

Denamico is a HubSpot consultancy that operates at the upmarket end of the ecosystem: enterprise-scale CRM architectures, complex integrations, and multi-phase implementations for franchise businesses with 50+ locations. The technical problems our clients bring us require more than configuration skills. They require someone who can architect solutions across HubSpot, cloud infrastructure, and third-party systems, and then build them.

We're building an AI-forward delivery team with an entrepreneurial mindset. That means we don't just bill hours, we build reusable IP and use AI to accelerate how we design, prototype, and deliver outcomes for our customers and our team. If you want to shape how a modern consultancy operates, not just execute within one, keep reading.

Why This Work Matters

Our clients are the entrepreneurial backbone of the American economy: service-based businesses creating jobs and driving growth in communities across the country. We build the revenue operations systems that help them scale: the data architecture, CRM strategy, and integrations that fundamentally change how they grow. When we get it right, operators open more locations, hire more people, and build stronger businesses. You feel that in this work every day.

We've doubled down on this vertical intentionally. It's relationship-driven and entrepreneurial, the community is tight-knit, and our focus means our team builds deep expertise that makes every client engagement better than the last.

The Role

You are the technical backbone of a delivery pod alongside an Implementation Manager and a Solutions Architect. Where the IM leads the client relationship and the SA defines the strategic architecture, you bring it to life. You build the integrations, write the custom code, configure complex workflows, and own the technical execution that turns strategy into a working system.

This is not a pure configuration role. You'll work across HubSpot's API ecosystem, cloud platforms like GCP, workflow orchestration tools, and custom-coded solutions. The projects you'll own range from SFTP-based data pipelines and webhook integrations to CRM UI extensions and multi-system compliance automation. You need to be equally comfortable in HubSpot's workflow builder and in a code editor writing Node.js.

Clients and pod members rely on you for technical confidence. When something is possible, you know how to build it. When it's not, you know why and what the right alternative is. Your technical judgment directly shapes what we deliver and how fast we move.

What You'll Own

This role is defined by the outcomes you're accountable for, not the tasks you execute. Three areas of ownership:

  • Technical execution. Own the build. You take architectural decisions from the Solutions Architect and turn them into working systems: integrations, custom coded actions, API connections, data pipelines, and platform configurations. Your work ships clean, performs reliably, and holds up without constant rework.

  • Integration architecture and delivery. Design and maintain integrations between HubSpot and external systems including cloud infrastructure (GCP, AWS), SFTP servers, webhook endpoints, and third-party platforms. You own the full lifecycle from scoping technical feasibility through deployment and documentation.

  • Technical advisory. Serve as the technical authority within your pod. Advise the IM and SA on what's feasible, what's risky, and what the right technical approach is. Translate complex technical realities into clear guidance that shapes project decisions.

The Metrics That Matter

  • Implementations hold up without rework

  • Integrations run reliably with minimal production incidents

  • Technical work delivered within planned effort budgets

  • Pod members and clients trust your technical judgment and recommendations

  • Documentation is complete enough that another engineer could maintain your work

How You Work

High-agency people don't wait for a fully defined playbook before moving. They anticipate what's needed, act on it, and adapt when things change. Here's how that shows up in this role:

  • You think in systems, not features. You understand how data flows between platforms and you design for reliability, not just functionality.

  • You build for the long term. Your code is documented, your integrations are monitored, and your solutions account for edge cases before they become production issues.

  • You communicate technical tradeoffs clearly. Non-technical stakeholders understand your recommendations because you translate complexity into business impact.

  • You act without being prompted. You see a risk in an integration, you raise it. You see a better approach, you propose it before the current path becomes a problem.

  • You're comfortable in ambiguity. Incomplete specs, evolving requirements, and competing priorities don't paralyze you. They're just the operating environment.

  • You use AI to multiply your output: accelerating code generation, debugging, documentation, and prototyping. You have opinions about what's worth using, and you bring that mindset to your work.

Experience You Bring

Required

  • 4+ years building and maintaining integrations between CRM platforms and external systems

  • Strong JavaScript/Node.js development skills, including working with APIs, async processing, and batch operations

  • Hands-on experience with HubSpot's API ecosystem: CRM APIs, marketing email APIs, custom coded workflow actions, and import/export operations

  • HubSpot developer platform experience: CRM cards, UI extensions, serverless functions, HubSpot CLI

  • Experience with cloud platforms (GCP preferred): Cloud Run, Cloud Storage, Firestore, VPC networking, or equivalent AWS/Azure services

  • Proficiency with workflow orchestration and automation tools (HubSpot workflows, Tray.ai, or similar)

  • Solid understanding of data architecture: file-based integrations, SFTP, CSV handling, encoding conversion, and data pipeline patterns

  • Demonstrated ability to own technical delivery end-to-end, from scoping through deployment and documentation

  • Comfortable working within a consulting/agency delivery model with multiple concurrent client engagements

  • Confident communicator who can translate technical complexity into clear recommendations for non-technical stakeholders

Nice to have

  • Experience with HTML transformation, PDF generation pipelines, or marketing email API integrations

  • Background in compliance-sensitive automation or approval workflow systems

  • Experience with franchise businesses or multi-location operators

  • Familiarity with EOS/Traction operating rhythm

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent

Moving Denamico Forward

This isn't just a delivery role. Denamico's pay-for-performance framework includes a variable bonus tied to three pillars: Delivery Excellence, Client Success, and Moving Denamico Forward. That third pillar compensates you for building IP, developing accelerators, supporting pre-sales, improving processes, mentoring teammates, and earning certifications. The work that compounds over time and makes the company better. It's a compensation model uncommon in this industry, built for people who think like owners.

Who Thrives Here

We are an outcome-focused team of builders who value continuous iteration. You must be high-agency, proactive, and self-directed, comfortable filling gaps without a full playbook. Success is measured by your impact and results, requiring resilience and adaptability as things shift. If you need explicit direction for every decision, this isn't the right fit. If you're energized by solving complex technical problems and seeing your work directly power business growth for real companies, you'll feel at home.

The Deal

Compensation is $90,000-$130,000 depending on experience, plus variable bonus and full benefits. Twin Cities hybrid members receive company-paid parking or transit. PTO, paid holidays, and flexible scheduling. North Loop office available for hybrid; remote open to US-based candidates working CST hours.

We're at a stage where the people who show up with a builder's mindset have a genuine say in where this company goes. Less predictability, more growth. Less routine, more learning. Less comfort, more capability. We're a team of builders with high standards and a genuine belief that "done" is just the beginning. We move fast, we iterate deliberately, and we hold ourselves accountable to outcomes, not effort.

Core Values

Our core values aren't wall art. They're how we make decisions.

Lead the Change. We bring innovative solutions to the table. We believe in the importance of having difficult conversations. We believe in staying ahead of change, taking educated risks, and paving the way for new roads to the future.

Learn With Purpose. We listen to and learn from others. We believe in being self-directed and proactively learning to solve challenges as they evolve. We believe in a growth mindset for ourselves and each other.

Make Things Happen. We take the initiative to move forward as change occurs. We’re willing to have hard conversations. That’s who we are. And there is a way to push the envelope while maintaining respect, humility, and transparency.

Be Better Together. We value and benefit from diversity, vulnerability, and everyone’s unique ability and perspective. We believe business is a team activity and that we do better work, are more innovative, and the journey is more meaningful when we’re on it together.

To Apply

In lieu of a cover letter, please respond to the following questions in the Cover Letter box and include a link to your LinkedIn profile.

  • Walk us through a complex integration you built between a CRM and an external system. What were the technical challenges, and how did you solve them?
  • Describe a time you identified a technical risk or limitation mid-project. What did you do, and how did it affect the outcome?
  • Tell us about a system you built that another engineer had to maintain after you. What did you do to make that handoff successful?
  • What's the last thing you learned on your own, not for a job, but because you were curious?

We screen for proof, not personality. The best answer is a specific example with a real outcome.
